The Thajudeen murder case, where former Senior Deputy Inspector General Anura Senanayake is a main accused, was fixed for hearing on January 16 at the Colombo High Court.
The former SDIG has been accused of concealing evidence pertaining to the May 2012 murder of national ruggerie Wasim Thajudeen.
Lawyers representing the accused told court their client could not appear today as he was recuperating after a recent surgery.
The court ordered that a medical certificate should be presented when the case would be taken up next.
