Thilaka Jayasundara today (Feb 18) assumed duties as the Director General of the Department of Public Enterprises.
Ms. Jayasundara has previously served in the capacity of Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Finance and the Chairman of the Independent Telivision Network (ITN).
The Public Enterprises Department is vested with the responsibilities of monitoring the activities of the Treasury and the subjects that come under the purview of Departments, Statutory Insititutions and Public Corporations which fall under the purview of the Finance and Mass Media Ministry.
