Three Police Officers attached to the Traffic Division of Polgahawela Police Station were taken into custody on December 14 by the Investigation Officers of CIABOC when obtaining a bribe of three thousand rupees, the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABoC)said.
The Officer served Court duties of Polgahawela Police Station and two other officers have been taken in to custody when obtaining a bribe of three thousand rupees after having obtained a sum of two thousand rupees earlier of the total amount of solicited bribe of five thousand rupees to take necessary arrangements to release a driving license that has been taken into custody in related to an accident.
These suspects were taken into custody at the Traffic Division of Polgahawela Police Station and sent to remand prison until December 20 after produced before the Magistrates Court Kurunagala.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
