Three persons including the Chairman of the Padiyatalawa Pradeshiya Sabha have been arrested over an assault, today (Jul 30).
The suspects have been accused of assaulting a staffer at the local authority.
Police said the injured victim has been hospitalised following the incident.
The suspects are expected to be produced before the Dehiattakandiya Magistrate's court in due course.
