Cabinet approval has been granted to set-up a committee on waste management in the country.
The three-member committee will be tasked with proposing measures that could be taken to resolve waste disposal issues faced at present.
As previous recommendations were not implemented successfully due to opposition from various parties, this committee will be tasked with putting forward recommendations on measures that could be taken to structure the waste management process.
