Three persons belonging to the banned Jamathei Millathu Ibrahim (JMI) group have been arrested in Ampara today (Aug 5).
Police said the suspects had received firearms training along with Easter Sunday attacks mastermind Mohamed Zahran.
The suspects have been identified as M.M. Saifullah Haq alias 'Abu Saheed', M.A. Amhar alias 'Abu Hind' and M.T.Hidayathullah alias 'Abu Thurab'.
Ampara police are conducting further inquiries into the suspects.
