Traffic congestion has been reported across several areas in Colombo owing to three separate protests.
The road from Borella towards Narahenpita, was congested as drivers from training schools launched a protest outside the Department of Motor Traffic (RMV) against the privatization of driving licenses.
According to the Police Maitland Place in Colombo is also facing a traffic jam due to a protest by unemployed graduates. The protest is being held in close proximity to the Ministry of Public Administration.
Another protest close to the Lotus road roundabout is being carried out by the Inter University Students’ Federation (IUSF).
