A three-wheeler that was unauthorised to travel along the Southern Expressway caught fire due to a technical glitch yesterday (Aug 24).
It is reported that the three-wheeler had been completely burnt while also causing damage to the road.
The incident had occured near the fifth kilometre post from the Expressway's entry point in Hambantota.
Vehicles have been restricted from travelling between the Mattala - Hambantota extension of the expressway which is yet to be vested with the public.
