The Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) has been brought under the purview of the Senior DIG of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Ravi Seneviratne, police announced today (May 15).
According to a press release issued by the Police a short while ago, the TID which had been functioning under the supervision of the IGP was transferred to SDIG Seneviratne with effect from today.
Acting IGP C.D. Wickramaratne had instructed that the TID be transferred based on service requirements, police said in a press release.
Meanwhile, the Kuliyapitiya Superintendent OIC Oshan Hewawitharana has been transferred as the Deputy Director of the Kalutara Police College.
Following this transfer, Police Superintendent L.S Sigera was transferred from the Nugegoda Police Division to fill the vacancy of OIC in Kuliyapitiya.
Police Superintendent W.M.R. Fernando was also transferred from the Presidential Security Division to the Nugegoda Police Division today.
