The Police have made special security arrangements for the transportation of ballot boxes to polling centres for tomorrow's presidential election.
As a part of the security arrangements, one armed Police officer will be deployed for security while transporting each ballot box, the Police media spokesman's office said.
Two police officers have been deployed for each of the 12,845 polling centres countrywide. The total number of Police officers to be on duty at voting centres will amount to 25,712.
Police Spokesman SSP Ruwan Gunasekara said that mobile patrols too would take place during this period.
