Tiran Alles allowed to travel abroad for medical treatment
The Colombo Fort Magistrate yesterday allowed former Parliamentarian Tiran Alles to travel abroad for a period of one month to obtain medical treatment.
The court imposed a travel ban on Alles on the grounds that the Police were conducting inquiries into allegations against RADA of which he was the Chairman.
Nalin Ladduwahetty PC informed court yesterday that there was no valid reason for the Police to arrest the former Parliament in the light of the Supreme Court determination on Wednesday.
The Supreme Court, on Wednesday, prevented Police from arresting Alles until the determination of the FR case filed by him. Taking that into consideration, the Magistrate permitted Alles to travel to the United Kingdom during the period between September 10 to October 10.
