A tourist bungalow owned by a state bank in Norwood, Hatton has been destroyed in a fire today (Aug 8), police said.
According to the police, the fire had erupted from the top floor of the bungalow before spreading across the building. However, no persons had been inside the bungalow at the time of the fire.
The fire had been doused with the assistance of the Hatton - Dickoya Fire Brigade, Norwood police, and area residents.
The bungalow which is believed to have been constructed by the British around a century ago is located in the vicinity of the Dickoya Base Hospital over the Castlereigh reservoir.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire. The amount of damages caused due to the incident has not been established yet.
