Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC) Chairman Major General (Rtd) Kamal Gunaratne has called on all TRC employees to engage themselves a bit more in their services to the public.
Gunaratne had made these remarks after assuming office as TRC Chairman today (Dec 6). He also holds the portfolio of Defence Secretary.
“The people of this country have huge expectations. Therefore, it is our responsibility to steer the country in the right direction,” the TRC Chairman emphasised.
He drew reference to a common saying in Singapore which goes as “Give little bit more”, urging employees to step-up their contribution.
Issuing a statement, the TRC said it aims to expand 5G technology across the country, under President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s ‘Smart Sri Lanka’ programme.
