The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) today instructed all telecom operators to continue to provide services for all consumers ensuring no service disconnections based on non-payment and to extend a grace period until the end of April, the national telecom regulatory body said.
"However, there would be an acceptable cap on daily emergency credit for prepaid accounts for essential communication," TRCSL said while noting that step was taken considering the ongoing islandwide curfew due to coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the counrty.
