Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will pay an official two day visit to Sri Lanka from tomorrow, Turkey Foreign ministry said.
During his visit to Sri Lanka, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will be received by President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Speaker of the Parliament Karu Jayasuriya, and also meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera, as well as Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrema.
On this occasion, Minister Çavuşoğlu will sign with his counterpart the “Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on Diplomatic Training, Exchange of Information and Documentation”.
This first visit to be paid at Foreign Ministerial level from Turkey to Sri Lanka will provide an opportunity to discuss all aspects of our bilateral relations and cooperation.
