Two persons who had attempting to bribe the Police to avoid taking action against a lorry for failing to stop at a roadblock in Dankotuwa on Saturday have been arrested, police said.
The suspects, identified as those of ages 22 and 25, had attempted to provide Rs 1000 as a bribe, stating that the lorry had been transporting cows at the time of the incident.
Police said the lorry had been travelling from Nattandiya to Negombo. Further investigations are underway.
