A Pakistani and an Egyptian national were arrested by the Weligama police in Mirissa yesterday (Dec 20) for breaching immigration laws.
The Pakistani national has been idenitified as a 22-year old individual while the Egypt national is a 27-year old, police said.
According to the police, the suspects were arrested for staying in the country without a valid visa.
Both suspects will be produced before the Matara Magistrates Court today (Dec 21).

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
