Two former LTTEers who pleaded guilty to being behind damages worth Rs 400 million at the Anuradhapura Air Force Base during the war, have been sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment.
The duo had pleaded guilty to the charges that included the destroying of 16 aircraft at the camp in Anuradhapura. Further it was reported that 14 forces personnel and 21 LTTE caders had died during the incident.
The Anuradhapura High Court today (Jan 16) ordered the sentence to be completed in five years.
