Two French nationals hospitalized due to quarry explosion in Badulla
Two French nationals riding in motorbike injured badly due to an explosion detonated in a nearby quarry in Demorada area, Badulla- Bandarawela road yesterday, police said.
Both are currently admitted to Badulla hospital. The female pillion rider is hospitalized as she is suffering from shock. According to the police, the couple was travelling on bike when the explosion occurred, a solid rock hit them and they were thrown for 300 meters off the road.
