Two persons have been injured after security officers opened fire at a group of persons who had obstructed parliamentarian S B Dissanayake's vehicle in Polpitiya in Ginigathhena today (Nov 6).
Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said that a group had obstructed the vehicle of the parliamentarian, at around 7:30 pm, following which his security personnel had opened fire.
The victims have been transferred to the Karawanella hospital from the Teligama hospital for further treatment, he added.
