Two people have died following an accident involving a tipper truck and a lorry along the Dalukana - Dehiaththakandiya road at around 6:45 pm yesterday (Apr 01).
The accident had occured when the lorry had collided with a tipper which was parked on the left side of the road facing Dalukana.
Four people who were travelling in the lorry had sustained injuries and were admitted to the Polonnaruwa District Hospital. However, two victims had died while receiving treatment in the same.
Meanwhile, the driver of the tipper truck has been taken into custody by the Aralaganwila police.
