Two persons have died while one has been injured following a head-on collision involving a van and bowser in Wariyapola this afternoon.
The accident had occured at around 12:30 pm, police told Times Online. The suspects were rushed to the Wariyapola District Hospital following the mishap.
However, two individuals which included the driver of the van and a woman who was also travelling in the same vehicle had succumbed to their injuries following the accident.
Another person who was travelling in the vehicle had also sustained injuries and was admitted to the Wariyapola District Hospital. However, he has now been transferred to the Kurunegala Teaching hospital for further treatment.
