Cabinet approval has been granted to handover two land slots at the state-owned IT park in Malabe to the Government Analyst's Department and the Peradeniya University.
A proposal in this regard had been put forward by Megapolis and Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka during the cabinet meeting held yesterday (Aug 6).
According to the proposal, one acre of land would be given to the Government Analyst's Department while two acres will be handed over to the Peradeniya University.
Previously, the cabinet of ministers had approved a proposal to lease out an acre of land for 30 years to the Institution of Engineers (IESL) College of Engineering.
However, the lease agreement had been terminated after the engineering college had failed to pay its lease.
