Two Moulavis who had received training with Easter Sunday attacks mastermind Mohamed Zahran have been arrested today (Aug 20).
Police said the suspects had received weapons training at a training camp in Nuwara Eliya.
One suspect has been identified as M.H. Mohamed Rizmi, a 28-year old attached to the Hettipola Jummah Mosque. The other is M.N. Mohamed Nimshad, a 29-year old attached to the Nikaweratiya Jummah mosque.
The Terrorist Investigations Division is carrying out further investigations into the suspects, Police added.
