Two suspects were remanded till December 9 by the Kurunegala Magistrate's Court for allegedly posssessing fake currency notes.
The suspects, aged 25 and 26, were arrested after a trader filed a complaint stating he had received fake notes during a transaction.
Police recovered 124 counterfeit Rs 5000 notes from the suspects and also a computer which had been used to design the notes.
