Two new train services between Jaffna and Colombo will be in operation as a part of a one-moth test run from tomorrow (Aug 2), the station master of the Jaffna Railway station said.
One train will leave Colombo at 8:50 am and reach Jaffna by 6:30 pm while the other train would depart from Colombo at 7:15 pm and reach Jaffna at 6:30 pm.
These trains would leave Jaffna at 6:25 am and 5:40 pm before reaching Colombo at 4 pm and 4 am respectively, station master R Pradeepan said.
Meanwhile, the night mail train is expected to depart from Colombo at 9 pm and reach Jaffna at around 5 am. Generally, the Jaffna-bound night mail train leaves Colombo at 8:30 pm.
