Two persons with 28 Kg of Kerala Cannabis, were arrested by the crew of a Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command, yesterday, Navy said.
Accordingly, these suspects with the haul of KG were apprehended by the Fast Attack Craft which was on patrol 13 nautical miles north of Kankasanthurai. It is suspected that the haul of KG was being transferred from India to Sri Lanka by a dinghy.
The suspects aged 32 and 39 are residents of Jaffna area. The apprehended persons, haul of KG and the dinghy were handed over to KKS Police for onward legal action.
