Two police officers have been arrested over an accident which occured in Wattala yesterday (Jun 26).
The officers, a Sergeant and Constable had been apprehended over the accident which resulted in the death of a 58-year old man, the Police Media Spokesman's office said.
It is reported that the victim who was travelling on a motorcycle had collided with the door of a police jeep that had been left open. The victim who had fallen off his bike had then been run over by the car, police said.
Accordingly, the two police officers including the driver who were travelling in the vehicle have been arrested by the Wattala Police.
