Two suspects have been arrested over the possession of one kilogram of heroin in Katuwapitiya, Meegamuwa today (Mar 23).
Officers attached to the Meegamuwa Organised Crimes Preventive Division had arrested the suspects while they were transporting the narcotic in a three-wheeler.
The suspects have been identified as 27 and 43-year old residents of Chilaw.
Further investigations are being carried out into the incident.
