Two persons who had been wanted over incidents of thefts in several areas have been arrested in Kelaniya, police said.
The arrest had been carried out by officers attached to the Peliyagoda Crimes Division in the vicinity of the Kelaniya railway station.
Police noted that the suspects had been wanted over several thefts in Kiribathgoda, Peliyagoda, and Mirihana recently.
Ten gold items had been recovered from the suspects at the time of the arrest.
The suspects are a 28-year old resident of Colombo 15 and 47-year old resident of Kelaniya.
