Fishermen at the Kotawaraya Fisheries Harbour in Hungama, Hambantota reported the unusual sight of two large watersprouts off the harbour last evening (20) following heavy rains in the area.
They said the two watersprouts formed during the rainy weather and were visible for some 15 minutes.
Many fishermen in the area said they had never observed the phenomenon before.
