The United States Ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power will be arriving in the island nation with the main objective to strengthening the U.S.-Sri Lanka partnership, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson told journalists.
During her tour, Power will also visit the former war-torn north of the country, and meet local government officials, organisations and the communities affected by the 30-year civil conflict.
In the capital, Power will hold discussions with Sri Lankan president, prime minister, foreign minister, community leaders, civil society and youth.
