The Urban Development Authority (UDA) armed with a court order began demolishing unauthorized constructions around the Fort Railway station today (Sept 10).
The structures were mainly used as fruit stalls and eateries.
The Fort Police said that they provided security for the operation of removing unauthorised constructions as the UDA had obtained a court order.
