British Minister for Asia and the Pacific at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Alok Sharma has cancelled his visit to Sri Lanka this week, British High Commission in Colombo said today.
A spkesperson from the High Commission said that the cancellation was due to UK Prime Minister Theresa May's announcement calling for a General Election to be held in the UK on June 8.
