Three political parties have cancelled their May Day rallies in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday attacks which took place in Sri Lanka yesterday.
Accordingly, the United National Party (UNP) which made tentative arrangements to conduct its May Day rally opposite Town Hall has called off plans to hold a rally.
Meanwhile, the Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) and the Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) have also decided to call off their May Day rallies.
