Update: FCID arrests Basil Rajapaksa

Former Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa was arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) a short while ago. 

The former minister was arrested over an investigation regarding a land issue in Matara. He will now be produced before the Matara Magistrate's Court. 

Rajapaksa had been summoned by the FCID today to give a statement regarding the investigation and arrived at the FCID office this morning.
