UPFA MPs meet with President ; UNP MPs claim MR has handed over resignation

A special meeting between UPFA Members of Parliament and President Maithripala Sirisena is currently underway at the Presidential Secretariat, the President's Spokesman told Times Online.

Further, UNP MPs claim that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has handed in his letter of resignation to the President.
