U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power who is currently in India is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today Nov 21.
Ambassador Samantha Power is the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations and a member of President Obama’s Cabinet.
She formerly served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights at the National Security Council.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
