The US dollar which has been surging against the Sri Lanka rupee on Wednesday hit the 200-rupee mark.
According to the Central Bank, the buying rate of the dollar on Wednesday was Rs. 193.95 while the selling rate was Rs. 200.46.
The rupee has depreciated sharply since the COVID-19 crisis began in early March.
