A van transporting ballot boxes towards a counting centre in Badulla has toppled over a precipice.
The driver of the vehicle has been hospitalised.
He had been transporting ballot boxes from the polling centre at the Ambetenna Tamil Vidyalaya in Bandarawela.
However, a police mobile patrol vehicle had transported the ballot boxes to the counting centre.
