Ven. Walpola Piyananda Thera has been appointed as Presidential adviser on Interfaith Affairs by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today (Dec 16).
President Rajapaksa handed over the appointment letter to the Ven Thera at the Presidential Secretariat this morning.
Meanwhile, High Court Judge Devika Abeyratne was sworn in as a new Appellate Court Judge before President Rajapakasa at the Presidential Secretariet today as well.
