Sunil Poholiyadde, Managing Director of the Plantations Sector of the Richard Pieris Group since 2012, has resigned from the boards of Namunukula Plantations, Kegalle Plantations and Maskeliya Plantations, it was announced on Tuesday.
These plantations come under the group and Mr. Poholiyadde was Director/CEO of all three plantations. The veteran planter is also Chairman of the Planters Association.
The resignation was with effect from August 2. It was unclear about what his role would be at Richard Pieris or whether this is part of some re-structuring of the group. – ENDS -
