The Irrigation Department has warned the public of the rising water levels of the Kalu Ganga and the Gin Ganga owing to the inclement weather in the country.
Accordingly, residents of the Muwagama and Thawalama areas to which the rivers belong to, have been advised to remain cautious over the possibility of flooding.
The water levels of the Kelani river too has arisen in the Deraniyagala and Kithulgala areas, the Department noted in a press release.
