Weapons and ammo seized inside a well in Maligawatte
Several weapons and ammunition have been discovered inside a well in Maligawatte this afternoon, police said.
Among the seized items were 32 swords, 19 knives, eight CDs containing Islamic lectures and a micro-pistol with several live bullets.
These items had been hidden inside a well and had been discovered by the Police and the Special Task Force during a search operation carried out following a tip-off.
Meanwhile, six individuals have been questioned over the incident so far, police said adding that no suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
