Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa has been ordered by the Commercial High Court to pay Rs 10 million as compensation to JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva for violating the Intellectual Property Act.
Accordingly, National Freedon Front (NFF) MP Weerawansa has been found guilty of including the political ideology of the JVP in his book titled "Naththa Wenuwata Aththa" (Truth Instead of Lies).
The case was filed by Mr Silva who alleged that the accused had violated the Intellectual Property Act by publishing the book.
