UPFA MP Wimal Weerawansa has arrived at the Financial Crime Investigation Division (FCID) a short while ago. The MP was summoned by the FCID to record a statement, an official said.
The statement is to be recorded in connection with irregularities at the Ministry of Housing and Construction while he was serving as its Minister.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
