A 30-year old woman has died after being attacked using a sharp weapon in Kopay this morning, police said.
The woman had been attacked along with her uncle by another individual over a land dispute.
Both victims had been rushed to the Jaffna hospital following which the woman had died.
Police have arrested a 61-year old suspect who had allegedly carried out the stabbing.
The remains of the deceased lie at the Jaffna Hospital. Kopay Police are investigating further into the incidemt.
