Woman dies after jumping off Kothalawala hospital building
A woman has died after jumping off the sixth floor of the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University Hospital building in Boralesgamuwa yesterday (Aug 18).
The deceased, a 28-year old, had been receiving treatment at the psychiatric unit of the hospital. Police have identified the victim as a resident of Pannipitiya.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out on the remains of the deceased today. Further investigations are being carried out by the police.
