Work on resurfacing BIA runway commences

Work on resurfacing the main runway of the  Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) commenced this morning. Accordingly, the BIA's runway of the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) will be closed from 8.30am to 4.30pm starting from today till April 6 due to the resurfacing. 

Airport authorities are requesting departing passengers to arrive several hours before their flight is due to depart in order to minimize inconvenience.
