A worker has died after being electrocuted while engaging in construction activities the Dahamigama Temple in Minneriya yesterday (Oct 30).
Police said the incident had occured when the worker had tripped over an illegal electricity cable. He had died after being admitted to the Jayanthipura Divisional Hospital.
The victim has been identified as a 43-year old resident of Jayanthipura. His remains currently lie at the Jayanthipura Hospital. Further investigations are underway.
